Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
The upgrading of your item is an essential factor in maximizing the potential of your gear. It lets you add additional bonus stats in addition to your base level item's value.
Each upgrade template comes with set options which can be changed via the GUI. These options include upgrading reference as well as the possibility of upgrading.
Upgrade components
The process for upgrading weapons, armor and other gear in Cyberpunk 2077 was redesigned as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components are scattered across Night City. The item you want to upgrade must also include an upgrade slot. When you select an item to upgrade it will show an image of what the expected statistics will be following upgrading, and the necessary component or item required. If you don't have the required level or resource to upgrade an item the button will say "Blocked."
Weapons and armor can be upgraded as well as some trinkets and gathering tools. The upgrade slots on all of these are filled with different upgrades that offer bonus features or other effects while the equipment is in use. These upgrades can be acquired through crafting, bought from a merchant or looted.
There are two types of upgrade components: universal upgrades and gems. Universal upgrades, which are like gemstones, can be used in any kind of equipment and offer less of a benefit than other upgrade components. Obtaining these is fairly simple, as they are dropped by enemies, or looted throughout the world. Gems can be obtained through disassembling items or through fulfilling certain missions.
Upgrades can be removed and replaced with new ones that fit in the weapon's slot. However, this will destroy any prior upgrades. All other upgrades, except for glyphs which can be placed in gathering tools, cannot be removed from an item after they are placed. Infusions that can be placed into ascended equipment as well as legendary equipment, and enhancements, which can only be recovered by using an upgrade extractor or by salvaging the item using the highest-quality salvage kit, can be replaced at least once every hour.
Recycled Items
During the two World Wars, the scarcity of natural resources pushed the world towards recycling. Nowadays, it is commonplace to recycle items like aluminum, paper and plastic, giving them new life as something completely different. Recycling saves energy and keeps carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere. It is also a great method to reduce the need for landfills and preserve natural resources. It is still important to know what items can be recycled.
A common mistake that people make is to put the wrong items in the recycling bin. These items will not only contaminate recycling equipment, but also cause contamination to the water. To avoid this, check the label and follow the guidelines of your recycling program. For instance, cardboard should not be mixed with steel or tin cans, and tissue should be put in the garbage. Plastic bags can also become tangled in recycling machines and should be returned to the store for reuse. Food containers and berry containers are also items which can be recycled. The only exception to this rule is glass which can be used as a building material.
When you are shopping for new products, it's important to look for the label "Made using recycled materials." This label indicates that the product is made from recycled materials from items that have already fulfilled their purpose. This makes them more environmentally sustainable than new items composed of virgin materials. They are also less expensive than virgin ones.
Whether it's your old phone, tablet or computer, you can recycle these items by bringing them to an recycling center. They can reuse the materials to make new electronic devices and other useful products. item upgrades can even get money from these companies by donating old ones.
If you want recycling for your coworkers to be easier, standardize the colors of the bins and signs at your workplace. This will help reduce confusion and increase participation rates. It is also recommended to create the space in your office to recycle, such as a central bin or box located in the breakroom.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to roll the dice again for better stats and awesome powers. They can be found in the mystery box or as rare drops from bosses or monsters that have skulls. Each token strips an attribute point from damage and rolls it randomly into a different attribute. You can also use the token to roll the extra attributes of an item, such as regeneration or speed.
The extras on an item increase with each level, however the amount they boost is different. The value of the extra is calculated as a percent of the total stats for the item. Rerolling a token can change this value. In addition, the recycle value will also increase with each upgrade. Generally, the value of an item's principal stat will increase by 3 with each level, whereas the value of its other stats will vary.
Click the dice icon beside the item in your inventory to reroll it. You can also press the button on a lobby of a player, and then select "Reroll". After you have rerolled the item, it will be removed from your collection.
You can buy rerolls and other items in-game from Sagbe the in-game Token Shop trader. You can also earn free rerolls redeeming active codes in Fire Force Online. These codes can be used to redeem many items, including Reroll Tokens and Clan Reroll Tokens.
Rerolls can be useful in the early stages of the game, when you are trying to increase your inventory and dungeon gear. They are not the most effective method to boost your character's stats. Instead, you should focus on getting more skill points. Additionally, you can earn bonus points by completing the event stages.
You can also roll your character's race with a race-reroll token that can be purchased from the Zen Market. This token allows you to change your race once and can be redeemed through certain pack purchases or through the Token Shop. It is also available as a reward when you complete Meg's cases during the Port Sarim invasion event.
Leveling

Upgrading an item in the upgrade process can increase its stats and Power Level. However it also increases the cost of upgrades and requires an amount of materials to complete the process. The type of materials required is dependent on the type of item. Weapons, for instance, use a combination between Destruction Stones (DS) and Guardian Stones. Armor is composed of Harmony Leapstones, Shards and other materials. Adding additional materials to the process can boost the chance of success, however this is not an absolute guarantee.
The process of leveling uses a formula to determine the amount of damage, magic attack and defense an upgraded item will receive at the next upgrade. The formulas vary based on the type of weapon used and rarity. There is also a maximum level for each kind of weapon.
Once the item has reached its highest level at which point the NPC will show an Upgrade option that lets the player add experience to the item and upgrade it to the next level. To make the most of this process, it is crucial to make sure their gear has reached its maximum level prior to upgrading. This way, they'll avoid wasting experience and materials that could have been better used for other upgrades.
The NPC will display two lines while the upgrade is in progress. The first line indicates how many Tech Points will be gained through upgrading the item, while the second line displays an overview of the item's upgraded appearance. The preview may not be exact for items that have modifications, but it will still give an idea of what to expect.
The NPC will also show the cost of upgrading the item. The cost of Technology Points will be included when applicable. It will also show the cost of an Accelerator if you own one. Accelerators are available on the Exchange. They can increase the Tech Points gained from an upgrade by 50%. However this bonus doesn't affect the item's Quality Chance which is reset when the item reaches its target level.
The Upgrade NPC provides a service for gear transfers. The Upgrade NPC will also provide a transfer service for gear. This lets players save their progress and experience on a piece and transfer it to a new item in the same slot. This can be useful for those who wish to change their gear but don't have enough money to buy a new set.
